I just spent an hour reorganizing, sorting and tossing the kids' growing playmobil collection. Do I need to worry .. as I did enjoy myself immensely? And i know each and every piece.. Ouch.

Ayway, now they're all stored in the drawers under the bed, in my beloved IKEA Samla Boxes. All labeled with big letters and a drawing, so the kids can see where everything goes. That was actually very easy and fun to do, with a black marker and drawing suggestions form the kids: sword and shield for the knights' series, a Jolly Roger for the pirates etc.

We'll see how long this order is going to last... But at least now we have some room for the incoming playmobil gifts.

Sorry for not posting, internet. We've been up in the alps, busy with snowballs and ski lessons. Now we're back in town, adjusting again to the new/old rithms. We'll be back up and running/posting as soon as possible.

I almost can't believe myself: I am actually keeping the Christmas promise I made yesterday!
So, here are some more pictures of our Gingerbread houses (you can also see the full set here), from blank and bland to jummy and bling bling!

Here's "before". These are the Annas Pepparkakor set sold at IKEA, by the way. Nice and easy to assemble.. if you have a firm hand and are not too scared around hot, lava-like, melted sugar..

Here you can see some very serious bakers at work, with all the candies and cookies ready to be "glued" to their houses. The ideas and decorations were all their own, I was just on hand as the "frosting mama", piping wherever they ordered. By the way, I mad an awesome frosting this year! Easy to pipe, held its shape perfectly and. most important, though enough to hold in place even  the heaviest candy! Got the recipe from here, where you can also find loads of decorating ideas and tips.


And a couple of very tired but proud bakers at the end of all this work.. Apparently eating all that candy can be SO exahusting..




And they are right to be proud: look at these wonderful creations!

And next year... Tom and I are already thinking about a gingerbread castle...

Tommaso says that my Gingerbread house is  VERY boring... And I kind of agree with him: his, Lorenzo's and Pietro's are much much more colorful and fun. I'll post them tomorrow, when the light is better. Christmas Promise!

Il che, in una famgilia di tre bambini, tre adulti e un cane.. è un po' un danno.
Inoltre il fattaccio è successo di venerdi, quindi si saltano automaticamente 2 giorni (hop) prima del (pronto) intervento. Mi figuro già gli abbinamenti improbabili che propinerò giocoforza ai nani tempo martedi.

Se qualcuno si stesse domandando cosa possa essere successo al povero elettrodomestico.. pare che il piccolo raptor di casa abbia messo i denti.. abbastanza affilati per permettergli di assaggiare la guarnizione della lavatrice..

Eccolo, l'ultimo arrivato in casa Cuneo Puglisi.
Era l'unico rimasto senza foto (e questa è pure di agosto.. ehmmm), una mancanza imperdonabile.
Frank è.. sorridente, testone, affamato, testone, morbido, testone, spiritoso..
E testone.

Il soprannome Velociraptor è dovuto alla sua molto poco gradevole abitudine di urlare come il suddetto dinosauro al momento del pasto. Questa tattica genera un profondo senso di disorientamento e sofferenza nel genitore addetto alla nutrizione, assicurando cosi la sua completa attenzione e forchettate ininterrotte. Al termine del pasto, il piccolo velociraptor ha la pancia come un pallone e il povero genitore non ha neanche toccato il suo piatto; inoltre prova un profondo senso di affinità per le mamme merlo e le loro urlanti progenie.

Lettura quotidiana, quantomeno di scorsa, per aver idee su cose da e per bambini.
Parecchi post al giorno, che spaziano da consigli su cose da fare insieme a loro, idee di arredamento, oggettistica, feste e molto molto altro ancora.
Sempre con un tono carino e non cattedratico (parolone di oggi): Ohdeedoh.
Che ci sia su anche la stanza dei ragazzi, poi, non guasta mica..
